The South Side Health and Vitality Studies at the University of Chicago Urban Health Initiative has comprehensive, longitudinal data on all public-facing built assets in 13 communities on the South Side of Chicago. We have longitudinal data since 2009 in 6 communities and are workign to keep these datasets continuously updated. Customizable maps are available at southsidehealth.org. Databases are available for researchers. We are also interested in sharing our asset census protocol and collaborating with teams that would like to replicate the census in their region.
